Their friend pretended to be friends with the manager to get a discount at the restaurant
It is nice to get extra pampering from the restaurant when you go out for a meal. Anything from a small discount to a complimentary dessert or champagne glass is a nice gesture that anyone can greatly appreciate. But you should never lie to get these benefits.

This story by Twitter user @LeahBaleee seems almost cliché. Who has not heard the lines “I’m friends with the manager” being said to the actual manager? In the best-case scenario, the response would be something like, “Really? Because I don’t know you,” followed by them having to pay the bill in full.
