The objection
Do you believe in coincidences? Or better in the causalities? The ceremony begins, the bride and groom say their vows, accept each other, and the tensest moment arises in the room: The father says, “If someone objects, speak now or be silent forever.” In a movie, everyone looks at each other, and someone enters through the door.
But it was real life, and this girl’s godparents were getting married. Everything was happening according to the plans until this sentence. The people usually used to keep silent, but they had a surprise: a pack of dogs started barking after that. Non-human beings didn’t have anything to say, but maybe the universe did.
