Seinfeld- The Opposite (S05E21)
George tells Jerry in Monk’s Café that every decision he’s made has never been right and that his life is the exact opposite of what it should be. Can anyone else sadly relate to this image and iconic scene? Things get better for Elaine as she gets a raise at Pendant Publishing. She also reunited with her boyfriend, Jake Jarmel. Jerry tries to convince George that he should try to change his mind about his decisions. He meets a woman who agrees to date him.
Later, Jerry loses a stand-up gig and is asked to perform another one on the same night for the same pay. Jake gets involved in an accident and later breaks up with Elaine. The show ends with Kramer’s book tour being canceled by Pendant Publishing. George gets an interview at the New York Yankees’ headquarters. Elaine gets kicked out of her apartment. The pendulum swings against Elaine, favoring George, while Jerry’s remains the same.
