There are some electronic devices such as digital clocks and TV remote controls that one simply forgets to change their batteries every once in a while. However, in the case of the smoke alarm, the consequences of inaction are rather dire.
Fortunately, someone remembered to change the batteries of this essential device and sent their partner the famous “Can you get me…?” text message. When they told them they didn’t want to die, they offered some straightforward advice.
