Her uncle offered her to promote his cover band
If you have a family, you will sometimes have to go out of your way to help them out. Not because you want to, but because blood is thicker than water, and saying no is not always an option. When Kristen’s uncle asked her to promote his band, she got an unexpected summer job in return.
Promoting his band was supposed to be easy peasy, but the only drawback is that they were a cover band. Unlike original tracks, cover songs are rarely heard. However, it is kind of him to form a band dedicated to Earth, Wind, and Fire. @KRose thinks that what she had to do was just humiliating.
