Nannying an old dog qualifies as #WorstSummerJob
Taking care of elderly dogs entails living on borrowed time. Of course, this should not be taken literally, but something terrible can happen at any time, as Margaret experienced. While her neighbors were away on vacation, her employment obliged her to look after an aging dog.
Surely, that was a temporary summer job. It is always heartbreaking to lose a dog, though, and that poor dog died without notice on the second day. Margaret was now in charge of imparting the bad news to the dog’s owners, and she was out of work for the summer. Emotional damage.
