When there’s a weight requirement for a ride
What is summer without amusement park rides and roller coasters? This story is about a Twitter user whose summer was cut short after her weight stopped her from getting on a ride when she was a teenager. She was asked to step out because it was impossible to get the safety restraints around her, ruining her summer vacation.
Safety restraints can only fasten a certain length and width and on certain people. If the restraint was designed to come down around you, it has to go down to the required level before the ride begins. Rides that use seat belts must be equipped with the right seat belts, as adding an extender can potentially cause mechanical failure.
