That is a very original dedication
Most people usually skip the author’s dedication, but you would be surprised at how humorous they can be. This author pursued their calling in defiance of their parent’s expectations, but they found a way of compensating for their shortcomings.
First, by becoming a published author, and second, by joking about it. We are sure their mother has gotten over her disappointment since her child eventually became successful doing what they loved.
