A blue sprinkle becomes an intruder

Corn syrup, sugar, cornstarch, and artificial flavors and colors are used to make sprinkles. Two halves of this container of candy sprinkles are shown here. However, the more one looks at this image, the more strange it appears. It’s odd how something so simple and mundane can be so exasperating to see.

A lone blue sprinkle sat nicely, surrounded by the red sprinkles, like an intruder making its way deep into enemy lines. This blue sprinkle is like the candy version of a rebellious adolescent out to spite its parents. Or maybe it is color blind and thinks it is also a red sprinkle.
