Apparently, their piano performance did not deserve a clap
It is hard to learn how to play a new instrument when you are a kid. It is hard to learn about pretty much anything when you barely know how to talk. The good part is that your family celebrates even your most minor victories.
Most normal people would clap after watching a child give their best on the piano to make them happy. Yet, this grandma could not be bothered. According to her, she would have clapped if the show had been good.
