The Band Teacher’s Disgusting Friend
Birds of a feather flock together, it is said, but what if only one of those birds is evil? Does that rub off on the other bird, or are each of them to be judged by their independent actions. I can imagine how shocked the other would have been when he learned this about his best friend. At this point, it is safe to say that people are not always as they appear, even those you feel closest to.
The band teacher is right to feel mortified because it is shameful to know that someone you considered a friend preys on children, and most would believe that he must have known somehow, given how close they were. It is horrible!
