The Horrors of Addiction
Rumors like this make me sad because it is another reason to mock and laugh at this person to students. They’ll come up with derogatory nicknames like “crackhead” and “junkie,” further pushing these people into the dark embrace of addiction. It is a disease! It takes only the strongest of wills to fight it off, including medical intervention.
This young man most likely overdosed or didn’t get help in time. This should serve as an example to all youths. Never be ashamed to seek help when you need it. Even the toughest man has been humbled by the curse of addiction.
