The wedding ring was about to go down the sewer
One of the most critical moments in a wedding ceremony is when the couple exchanges their rings and says their vows. Having both wedding rings is crucial for the moment to go as planned especially since the spouses will wear those for the rest of their lives.
Dropping one of the rings down the drain would have been a colossal disaster. We do not know how someone managed to accidentally throw the ring, but we are glad that it did not fall into the sewer. These newlyweds were super lucky.
