Sharing Space with Roommates
With the rising cost of housing, we are often left with no choice but to share rent with people. Sometimes, we aren’t very familiar with these people, but we move in with them to save costs. People’s backgrounds are different, and it could be hard for you to adjust your lifestyle to accommodate theirs.
A Reddit user narrated that an older woman she shared a room with often banged pots and slammed the oven door; she made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. The roommate also stole her food. The other roommate seemed nice at first but turned out to be bigoted and mean. All these must have been too much because the Redditor moved out and has sworn never to share an apartment again.
