The “Anonymous” Employee Survey Isn’t Anonymous
If you work in an office, you’ve probably had to fill out an anonymous employee survey. Companies do this as a way to encourage you to bare your mind and speak freely. It is a commonplace to see some employees write scathing remarks. The point is for the company to see the survey and take steps toward changes highlighted by the employees.
Are these anonymous surveys anonymous? A Reddit user’s story proves otherwise. According to the user, they were asked to complete an anonymous form to appraise the company’s training course. The user went ahead to write harsh comments. The training course tutor read all of them in front of the trainees and shook their hands except for the user that wrote the offensive remarks. Oops.
