On second-hand markets online, many potential buyers look for products that come from smoke-free and pet-free homes. These conditions often mean the product is in tip-top shape, allowing the seller to increase the price slightly and still sell the thing quickly.
It seems like this person wanted to sell their couch as fast as possible, so they lied saying it came from a pet-free home. There’s a cat standing in the back, and we’re pretty sure it sat on the piece of furniture.
