Phones nowadays are one of the primary sources of distraction for most of us. Social media is exceptionally good at grabbing our attention. However, some activities require our full attention. A medical consult is one of those moments. The physician should be entirely dedicated to the task at hand, which is examining their patient.
What could be more important? It is undoubtedly not a Facebook notification. Checking a social network can never be urgent enough to justify ignoring your work, especially when you are a doctor in the middle of a consult. This Twitter user would do well to go to a different specialist since their current one does not seem to take his job seriously.
