True Grit: “Making a decision and standing by it”
After her father is murdered, 14-year-old Mattie plans to avenge her father and to help her in her conquest hires Cogburn. The basic theme of Henry Hathaway’s “True Grit” appears quite bland on the surface, but a deeper dive takes the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Released in 1969, attempts to recreate this movie could not be matched to Hathaway’s film. Later joined by La Boeuf, the trio eventually must find a mutually acceptable decision to bring justice to the man they’ve chased for so long. This Lego figure looks identical to the character in the film.
