A priest judging the deceased in front of the family
Priests sometimes place a lot of moral judgment on people. They give lectures about what is wrong and right, and some of them come as far as imposing rules at their churches. But a funeral is not the place to critique the deceased.
Why would you make the family of the deceased feel bad, especially at the funeral? We get that the priest might have wanted to stick to his beliefs, but in a time of grief, you have to think about other people’s feelings.
