Dame Lesley Lawson, a.k.a Twiggy, is an English model, singer, and actress who modeled in London as a teenager in the ’60s. She gained international recognition after her appearance in the U.S. edition of Vogue. She got the name ‘Twiggy’ from family and friends who mocked her for her “Twig-like” frame, which actually made her stand out in the modeling industry, as slim models were preferred back then.
Twiggy loved wearing false long lashes and bold eye makeup and had a cropped hairstyle that was particular to her during the ’60s. Mattel remade her iconic style.
