Rosa Parks Barbie
On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger. This was very unusual since segregation was rampant and even supported by law. She got arrested for standing up for her rights, which led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott and played a huge role in the civil rights movement.
Rosa Parks won several awards for her defiant act and activism against racial discrimination and segregation. In celebration of that, Barbie added a Rosa Parks doll to the Inspiring Women Series. Her story inspires women to fight for their rights and what they want. It teaches women to strive for more and aim higher.
