If you insult someone’s dog, be ready for the consequences
Clifford the giant red dog is a popular children’s book character. He grew up to be very big thanks to the enormous amounts of love that his owner gave him. This person tried to use that concept to make fun of the other party’s dog.
It is a mistake to make fun of someone’s pet in the first place. But suggesting they did not love it enough and that is why it is small? That is a bridge too far. They deserved that savage reply.
