Cinnamon rolls are prepared differently in Sweden
Cinnamon rolls are a great treat to have breakfast with. They’re sweet baked doughs with a cinnamon-sugar filling that often comes with a cream cheese frosting or a sugar glaze on top. This food is closely related to the Swedish dish “kanelbullar,” but they’re pretty different.
While American cinnamon rolls are topped off with a slathering of icing, the Sweden version has either egg wash or pearl sugar on top. This tiny difference means that kanelbullars are less sticky-sweet than the cinnamon rolls we know and love.
