British pigs in a blanket don’t resemble the American dish
No party is complete in the US without a good platter of pigs in a blanket. This sausage-based dish is often prepared as a snack for parties and served with mustard or aioli dipping sauce to make it more interesting.
You can find this snack dish in the UK, but its recipe is quite different. While Americans prepare it by wrapping sausages in croissant pastry, British pigs in a blanket are sausages wrapped in bacon. In our opinion, both dishes are equally delicious.
