Korea doesn’t serve sweet potato casserole, they make candied potatoes
Thanksgiving is that time in the year when families gather to share a fabulous meal. Every household celebrates the holiday differently, which means you can find all sorts of staples on each family’s table. Some of them are unfamiliar to foreigners, such as sweet potato casserole.
The weirdest thing about this dish is that most Americans top it with a layer of marshmallows. The closest we’ll get to sweet potato casserole outside the US is a dish called “goguma mattang;” a Korean meal made up of candied potatoes.
