We know that not all Americans enjoy eating chowder, even though it’s a pretty nutritious food. Still, it’s a popular dish in the northeastern states. This traditional meal dates back to when Europeans arrived in the US and settled on the Northeast coast.

Clam chowder is the most popular type of chowder in America. However, this meal doesn’t look white or creamy in the rest of the world. If you ask for chowder outside the US, you’ll probably come across a red and more liquid dish.
