Goulash doesn’t have pasta as an ingredient in Hungary
If you’re the type of person who enjoys hot foods during winter, you probably love goulash. This kind of stew is one of Hungary’s national dishes, and it’s ideal for the cold weather months. Since Americans like this meal too, they created their own version of it.
Both American goulash and traditional Hungarian goulash feature meat, vegetables, and stock. However, there’s a slight difference between the two—the latter isn’t a pasta dish. People from the US changed the original recipe to add macaroni to the meal and made it better.
