Shaving has become unpopular due to cultural expectations that girls must constantly have smooth, shaved legs. It can be an exhausting effort that takes a long time and never lasts. So, if there is some technique to avoid shaving, some people surely will be glad to hear it.

She discovered a better way than to shave completely but also be able to nail ripped jeans. That is a win-win situation. Nobody believes her singleness has anything to do with her effectiveness.
