Fire in the hole
When Mentos react with Coca-Cola, the following reaction is a rapidly forming fountain of pressurized soda that then spurts out of the bottleneck and shoots into the air. This is mainly caused by a physical reaction that rapidly releases the dissolved carbon dioxide from the beverage.
The well-known science experience involving Coca-Cola and Mentos is a ton of fun – but it can also be messy. Therefore, it’s recommended to do it outside. @Chrishyer31 fears someone will pull a prank on him by putting mentos in the Coke he is about to drink. Well, we hope that is not the case because it’ll be messy.
