Sharks in the pool
Sharks are apex predators, and their hunting techniques are based on sensing their victims and attacking them by surprise. The process by which sharks hunt can be divided into 4 specific steps, namely: detection, search, location, and strike. They are miraculous yet scary creatures.
With their stealth and seeming ability to surprise, assault, and strike. We do not think @Miss_Amaraca would be the only one concerned about double-checking for sharks before getting into a body of water. That being said, perhaps there is less need to be so cautious when entering a pool.
