Astraphobia is an extreme fear of thunder and lightning. It can affect people of all ages, though it may be more common in children than adults. It’s also seen in animals. Many children with this fear will eventually outgrow it, but others will continue to experience the phobia into adulthood. It can also manifest in adults who didn’t have it as children.

We’ve all experienced a mighty, loud thunderstorm at some point or another. It seems natural for this Clare, @walknonsunshyn, and her buddy to have reacted that way during such a stormy evening. They aren’t the only ones to have been left shaking like a leaf because of thunderbolts. No one, and absolutely no one, loves such loud thunderbolts.
