Dorothy Dandridge was among the most talented Hollywood starlets between the 1930s and the 1950s. Although some of us may not know her, she made her mark in history as the first African-American actress nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.
While filming Island in the Sun, Dandridge wore a fabulous sapphire necklace with a pair of matching earrings. The wardrobe stylists made a great choice by complimenting the jewelry with a bold, yellow sundress that made the actress look as beautiful as ever.
