Architects’ work is about math, geometry, and planning ahead: picturing a house before it is built is not as easy as one could think. It is crucial for an architect to take every tiny detail into consideration before it exists.

Whoever lives in this house will tell you that measurements are vital. Surely everyone would get annoyed by the mere thought of having to open that drawer or use the oven. There is probably not a lot of cooking done here.
