Feeling Nothing During an Arm Metal Plate Insertion
Surgeries can be complicated, sometimes to the extent that external bodies such as metal plates have to be installed into the body. These plates help a specific body part function optimally or heal completely. This Redditor had surgery to insert a metal plate into their arm.
The patient woke up during the procedure, and the doctors had used a block to make their entire arm numb. The patient did not feel any pain on waking up. They did, however, also hear the sound of a drill and slight pressure on the arm.
