A very Painful Wake-Up Call during Gastric Bypass
Bypass procedures can be delicate like any other procedures. Individuals need to prepare mentally for the pain and experience they will go through. This is important to ensure these patients can come out of the surgery. This is the case of a man who underwent a gastric bypass in 2001. This patient had excruciating pain during the procedure, which was the worst pain of their life. The patient couldn’t hear anything and had their eyes taped shut during the process, only able to move their hands slightly.

It turned out the patient had gall stones the size of a golf ball in their gall bladder, making the procedure more painful when the patient woke up during it. This patient describes the pain from this procedure as the worst pain they have endured in their entire existence.
