The ‘salted’ in salted caramel is subtle

We don’t see how this one is controversial. Are people trying to say that excessively salty sugars are the right way to do salted caramel? Thanks, but we’d probably pass on this one because the salt in salted caramel is supposed to be way more subtle than some people realize.

Even professionals suggest using just a little bit of salt while making something sweet to ‘enhance’ the base flavors. Salt is a ‘flavor enhancer,’ not something that enhances saltiness.
