His legs would not stop shaking
During your first experience getting tattooed, there are things you can expect to control and others that you cannot. Some physical responses triggered by stress or nerves are automatic and there is nothing we can do to stop them.
This poor guy was mortified that his legs began shaking uncontrollably. He knew it would make the artist’s job harder to deal with his jerks, but try as he might he could not stop them. Hopefully, the tattooer understood it was an involuntary response.
