A cat bite led to sepsis
Cat and dog bites can be serious since animals’ mouths are chock-full of nasty bacteria. We all love our furry companions, but if they ever get too feisty, be vigilant and get the wound seen by a professional. Rabies and infection are high on the list of possible risks.
This person did get it checked and was fortunate enough to get to keep their finger. If they had not gone back to the hospital, they could have lost their finger or their life. Who knew having a pet could be a cause of sepsis?
