Excruciating period cramps were attributed to hormones
It is true that some women have more painful periods than others, but if a patient is telling you, a specialist, that the pain is increasing, then perhaps it merits looking into. This woman had to fight to get referred to a specialist.
It is unbelievable that they were not sent to have an ultrasound when it is a quite simple, noninvasive test. It would have certainly saved her a great deal of pain if the first doctor had just taken her seriously.
