Physicians often doubt women when they present their symptoms
It is ironic how physicians tend to dismiss women’s complaints about pain as mental issues, given that they are constantly dealing with different degrees of it throughout their lives. This woman was deemed” too young” for her symptoms to be anything but made up.
We are sure it gave her little satisfaction to be proved right when they found a tumor in her vertebrae. The worst about these misdiagnoses is that delayed treatment can lead to permanent disabilities and even loss of life.
