Certain questions should only be asked to someone you can trust. It is sometimes best not to ask strangers for favors that are not appropriate according to the type of relationship. On Nextdoor, this person gave an excellent illustration of what we are talking about.
Most of us do not want to risk our credit with a virtual stranger or a neighbor who is only a friend. This includes asking people who live in your neighborhood if they would not mind signing on to your auto loan.
