I have to admit, on some level, I relate to the person who made this fortune cookie. Whether you are good or terrible at your job, at some point, you just need the recognition that you’re doing OK. Validation, what a delight!
It must be horrible to write people’s fortunes just to hear them complain and be skeptical about your guesses. If no one appreciates your skills, you need to take over and make it clear to yourself: your job is well done.
