No need to rush
When someone runs away from the killer in horror movies, it’s almost guaranteed that that person is going to die. That’s because, for some reason, there will always be something on the ground to trip them. It could be a root, a rock, or maybe just their natural clumsiness.
And that’s why the movie’s killers don’t need to run after their victims. They’ll catch up eventually because their prey doesn’t just trip once. Sometimes, they’ll sprain their ankle or something that incapacitates them, giving the killer all the time in the world to walk slowly, grab a coffee, and catch up on their emails before doing the deed.
