Compliments are not supposed to hurt people
You take a big step when you decide to live independently and leave your parents’ house. Yes, it is hard to buy furniture and appliances to fill your place. But nothing can take the sense of accomplishment from you when you achieve this.
Well, except for a comment like this. It may be hard to hear when someone says terrible things about the stuff we own that we worked so hard to buy. No matter the burns you receive from your friends, you should always be happy with what you have.
