This little ledge makes no sense at all
This design is ideal for anyone looking for an anti-burglar window. They would enter and immediately perish. However, if firefighters entered the smoke-filled second level, they would want additional assistance because this ledge makes no sense.
You might have played enough video games to know that something good, such as a different life or a concealed weapon, is up there. It would have been great if they had placed a chair on the floating ledge to create the impression that someone enjoys hanging out there.
