The Giant Frog Bridge in Willimantic depicts a very obscure moment in the history of this town
History lessons do not teach us everything that happened in the past. After all, it would be impossible to learn about every detail of every place in the world. Still, over the years, there are artists that have chosen to honor some of these obscure moments in the history of their towns.
A great example is The Giant Frog Bridge in Willimantic, Connecticut. This series of frog sculptures works to teach us a history lesson. There are four of these 11-foot-tall frogs. According to the artist that made them, Leo Jensen, they represent a battle of frogs that took place in this town in 1754.
