Lucy The Elephant is a mindblowing attraction in New Jersey
Most of the crazy landmarks we have seen today have a funny or interesting story behind them, but the truth is that these attractions are generally made to attract more visitors to your town or city. That is the case of Lucy the Elephant, built over a hundred years ago.
The massive elephant that stands in Margate City, New Jersey, was created by James V. Lafferty in 1881. He built it as part of a strategy to increase the city’s real estate growth by attracting more tourists. It is considered among many a National Historic Landmark, and you also can stay the night there.
