It seems like every town and city in the U.S. has its own little quirk when it comes to tourist attractions. In the city of Worcester, Massachusetts, they have an odd statue in front of their City Hall Common that takes all the attention of both residents and visitors.
The turtle Boy statue is one of Worcester’s iconic landmarks. This monument, which formal name is the Burnside Fountain, has become the ultimate representation of Worcester. This young boy and turtle were installed in 1912. Since then, they have spawned t-shirts, songs, and even a website.
