Amber, Iowa, has its very own Hula Hoop tree
The best part about road-tripping and visiting strange landmarks is learning the fun tales behind each location. These stories can usually tell you a lot about the character of the locals and what they like. A great example is the Hula Hoop tree of Amber, Iowa.
The story behind this landmark is quite strange as it was created by accident. The first two hula hoops appeared on the tree in 2015 after a storm. But then, some people started adding more and more hoops. Eventually, the tree had to be taken down due to its weight.
