Matthew Broderick as Simba’s voice in The Lion King
Matthew Broderick is easily recognized by his titular role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. However, that’s not his only major success. This charismatic actor also lent his voice to adult Simba in The Lion King, Disney’s highest-grossing animated film of all time.
Although some people are familiar with Broderick’s voice as adult Simba, not many know that he’s not the one who voices Simba when he sings. Joseph Williams, who happens to be the lead vocalist of the band Toto, is Simba’s singing voice. How is it possible that we didn’t realize it before?
